Dr. Porta received her Laurea Degree (equivalent to the combination of B.A. and M.A degrees) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the University of Genova (Genova, Italy) in 2000, and her Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Physiology from Loyola University Chicago in 2006. Dr Porta completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Physiology at Midwestern University Downers Grove in 2009 and, in the same year, began her career in the Department of Physiology in the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at the rank of Instructor. She was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor
Dr. Anthony Peluso is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) Program. He is the course director for Behavioral and Social Aspects of Public Health and Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response and aids in the delivery of the M.P.H. degree program in Global One Health at Midwestern University’s Glendale, AZ and Downers Grove, IL campuses. Dr. Peluso earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science and Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh and both Master and Doctor of Public Health degrees from East Tennessee State University. Please join the College of Pharmacy – Glendale and all pharmacy professionals in celebrating National Pharmacists Month during the month of October. The College has planned several events and informational sessions to highlight the role of the pharmacist in the healthcare team.
