RESEARCH SUMMARY

Dr. Veale conducts basic and applied research relative to pediatric language development and disorders, with a particular emphasis on understanding how children with autism learn to communicate effectively.  She also studies the effectiveness of a variety of strategies relative to the graduate education of speech-language pathologists.  Other scholarly efforts have included development of educational materials to teach the principles of neuroscience to healthcare practitioners and the authorship of two manuals of pediatric therapeutic strategies.
