RESEARCH INTEREST

I have served in hospital based private practice of pathology for the past 30 years. My primary skills are histopathologic assessment of human tissues (normal, inflammatory and neoplastic) and techniques used for primary tissue diagnosis of disease by examination of routine stained histologic slides and ancillary studies such as immunohistochemical stains and other complementary tissue based analyses such as in situ hybridization (ISH).

I am primarily interested in collaborative research projects where I can contribute morphologic histopathologic assessment of experimental interventions.

I am currently involved collaboratively in projects looking at the effect of stem cell therapy in acute kidney injury and pathogenetic mechanisms in atherosclerotic disease in a mouse model. I also have a strong interest in neoplasia.
