Midwestern University recently received an upgraded financial rating from Fitch Ratings, one of the top independent credit agencies in the United States. Fitch elevated the University’s rating from “AA- Positive” to “AA Stable” and rated the University’s financial outlook as Stable.

The Midwestern University Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Institutes co-hosted a Parkinson’s World Health Fair on April 20th at the University’s Multispecialty Clinic in Downers Grove, Illinois for community members living with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers. Parkinson’s Disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects movement with symptoms that generally develop slowly over years. Nearly one million people in the U.S. are living with PD, according to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Dr. Mariah K. Zeigler is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) Program. She is the course director for the Climate Change, Ecosystem Stability, and Public Health course, the Introduction to Public Health course, the U.S. and Global Health Systems course, and she Co-Directs the Environmental and Occupational Health course. Dr. Zeigler aids in delivery of the M.P.H. degree program in Global One Health at Midwestern University’s Glendale, AZ and Downers Grove, IL campuses and provides guest lectures in numerous other courses offered at Midwestern. Dr. Felicia E. Trembath is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) Program at Midwestern University. She earned both an M.P.H. and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Purdue University. She leads the creation of the epidemiology courses and aids in the delivery of the M.P.H. degree program in Global One Health at Midwestern University’s Glendale, AZ and Downers Grove, IL campuses.
