The Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Scholarship Program provides participating Scholars with the opportunity to extend their training an additional year to focus solely on teaching, education, and OMM techniques to help prepare them for the possibility of working in academic settings in the future.

CCOM Student to Serve on American Osteopathic Foundation Board
A second-year student at Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM) will serve as a student representative to the American Osteopathic Foundation Board. Renee Wakulski (CCOM 2021) is the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) appointee to the American Osteopathic Foundation Board of Directors for the 2019-2020 term.

Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine Earns High U.S. News Ranking
Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM) recently earned a top spot on the U.S. News and World Report ranking of Best Medical Schools in the practice area of primary care. The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine ranked 17th on the list that evaluated medical schools based on faculty resources, the academic achievement of entering students, qualitative assessments by schools and residency directors, and the proportion of graduates practicing primary care medicine.

Midwestern University Remembers Osteopathic Leader, Educator
Robert E. Kappler, CCOM 1958, passed away on October 18, 2017. Dr. Kappler devoted 55 years to mentoring the next generation of osteopathic physicians as a professor and the Chair of the Department of Osteopathic Medicine at CCOM.
