Students, parents and the general public want to know how students at institutions of higher education perform, how well they achieve. Accordingly, the Higher Learning Commission which accredits Midwestern University's academic programs on a regional basis, requires that the institution's public information communicate information on student achievement, including student retention rates, student completion rates or other information appropriate to the mission of the institution. Presented below are student retention rates, completion rates, and professional/licensure examination pass rates by campus and program length. Rates/percentages are more stable when cohort sizes exceed 100 students, as is the case for most of the reporting below.
Professional/licensure examination pass rates provide direct evidence of Midwestern University students' learning and achievement. As shown below, the professional/licensure examination pass rates for the Downers Grove, Illinois campus exceeded the national pass rate for each of the years reported. The professional/ licensure examination pass rates for the Glendale, Arizona campus exceeded or equaled the national pass rate for each of the years reported. These pass rates are testimony to Midwestern University students' learning and achievement.
