Sensible strategies building the foundation for your financial future

Sensible Strategies is Midwestern University's Financial Literacy Program; its mission is to inspire and empower students, alumni, and the community to make smart and ethical money management decisions. We do this through interactive and engaging teaching sessions.

Sensible Strategies effectuates this mission through three distinct phases:

  1. Financial Aid Awareness
    • What You Need to Know Session - financial aid basics for new students
    • Student Financial Services Midpoint Session - financial aid recap and look forward at each program's midpoint
    • Student Financial Services Graduation Clearance - comprehensive look forward as students transition into repayment after graduation

360 Degrees is a national volunteer effort of the nation's Certified Public Accountants to help Americans understand their personal finances and develop money management skills. It focuses on financial education as a lifelong endeavor-from children learning about the value of money to adults reaching a secure retirement.

The American Savings Education Council is the Emmy and Telly award-winning Choose to Save® national public education and outreach program. It is dedicated to raising awareness about the need to plan and save for long-term personal financial security. This site is co-sponsored by the Employee Benefit Research Institute and the American Savings Education Council. 

Bankrate provides free rate information to consumers on more than 300 financial products, including mortgages, credit cards, new and used automobile loans, money market accounts, certificates of deposit, checking and ATM fees, home equity loans and online banking fees. The U.S. Financial Literacy and Education Commission is dedicated to teaching all Americans the basics about financial education.
