Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participant will:       

  1. Discover why we might leave stain behind.
  2. Review the ADPIED dental hygiene process of care to identify the causative and influencing factors that can be reduced, eliminated, or prevented.
  3. Determine the most accurate risk assessment, diagnosis and treatment codes.
  4. Learn to write SOAP notes and Twitter-Style dental-medical necessity documentation.
  5. Discover success strategies through case studies and Carus Hygiene Metrics.

Ms. Digangi's Biography

Patti believes dentistry is no longer just about fixing teeth; dentistry  is  oral medicine. As a navigator and long-time clinician, she guides audiences through the rough waters of coding. Her efforts have assisted thousands of professionals to code more accurately and efficiently. In fact, the American Dental Association recognized her expertise by inviting her to write a chapter in its  CDT 2017 Companion  book and again for  CDT 2018 Companion. Patti holds publishing and speaking licenses with ADA for  Current Dental Terminology©2018 and a license for  SNODENT©2018 diagnostic coding. 

Patti shares her insights and expertise through her DentalCodeology book series. In 2018 she released her  CDT 2018 Shifts Metrics Driven and  7th book  Teledentistry Pathway to Prosperity.  Patti offers for continued learning and growth through her Dental Codeologist Member group and DentalCodeology Insurance Navigator online certification program.

    Payment Methods: We accept checks, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, MasterCard and Visa. All checks should be made payable to:  Midwestern University.

Cancellations and Refunds: The Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona Continuing Dental Education (MWUCDM-AZ CDE) office reserves the right to end registration when the enrollment limit is reached and to cancel, modify or alter content, faculty or location for any course if circumstances indicate such a change is advisable. If the MWUCDM-AZ CDE finds it necessary to cancel a course, a full refund will be issued. No travel expenses will be refunded to the registrant in the event of course cancellation or cancellation of any registration. Full tuition refunds are issued if the participant cancels in writing two weeks prior to a course. Cancellations processed during the two weeks prior to course date will be refunded tuition minus a late cancellation fee of $75. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received seven days prior to the day of the course or in the event of a no-show. Select courses may have individually specific cancellation fees and polices. A $50 fee will be assessed for all returned payments. Returned payments include returned checks and dishonored credit or debit card payments.
