Being a student at Midwestern University was definitely hard work and fast-paced, but it was not competitive here. Everyone just wanted to help each other and in that aspect it was just really welcoming. People studied together and shared ideas.

Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine alumnus and Chair of the Midwestern University Alumni Senate Mark Alan Dobbertien, D.O., FACS, has been elected as a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Board of Governors Executive Committee. Dr. Dobbertien (CCOM 1987) was elected to a one-year term during the ACS Clinical Congress 2019, held October 27 to 31 in San Francisco, CA.

On Saturday, October 19, Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine-Arizona and the Midwestern University Dental Institute hosted Give Kids a Smile, part of the nationwide initiative to provide children with much-needed dental care at no cost to families. Over 200 patients aged 6 to 14 received free screenings and treatments including cleanings, sealants, fillings, and extractions – more than 720 procedures representing nearly $29,000 worth of free dental care.
