The Midwestern Alumni Network provides opportunities for collaboration and interaction among graduates from all of MWU's colleges and programs. All graduates of Midwestern University share the same values of holistic healthcare, student-focused teaching, and patient-centered practice. The Midwestern University Alumni Network promotes collegiality, interdisciplinary learning, cross-professional collaboration, and mutual support of the University.

Purpose
The Midwestern University (MWU) Alumni Diversity Council’s purpose is to serve as alumni leaders and mentors to current Midwestern University students of color and to provide thoughtful insight and recommendations to the Office of Development and Alumni Relations on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion related initiatives.

Mission
The mission of the Midwestern University (MWU) Alumni Senate is to create a sense of connection to and pride in Midwestern University among all of its alumni. The MWU Alumni Senate provides opportunities for networking and collaboration between alumni of the many colleges and programs within the university.  The MWU Senate will serve as a resource for, and the voice of, all alumni of the university.

Mission Statement
The mission of this Council is to create a mechanism for graduates of the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) to further professional opportunities, continue friendships, participate as a mentor, and to enhance the educational opportunities of any member of the AZCOM program of Midwestern University, including students, faculty, and alumni. Alumni will maintain a close relationship with AZCOM and the University as a whole to ensure that the above objectives are met.

Nomination Requirements

As part of the nomination form, nominators must submit a 250 word or more statement establishing the candidate's qualifications with clear and concise detail as to why he/she should be selected for the award.

CCOM Alumni Association Awards Nomination Form


The Dr. Karen J. Nichols Leadership Award will be considered annually and bestowed at the discretion of the CCOM Alumni Association Board of Governors to a "physician who has served CCOM and has demonstrated extraordinary leadership furthering the osteopathic medical profession.”

The Ward Perrin, D.O. Distinguished Service Award is granted annually by the CCOM Alumni Board of Governors to a recipient "in recognition of his or her devotion and loyal support in the advancement of his or her college."  

The Alumni Association Citation is presented annually by the President of the CCOM Alumni Association to a CCOM alumnus or other deserving individual(s) "in recognition of distinguished and devoted service to the college and its alumni."

The Outstanding Achievement Award is granted annually by the CCOM Alumni Board of Governors to CCOM alumni or other deserving individual(s) "in recognition of distinguished and devoted service to the Osteopathic profession and having brought credit to CCOM."  

Emerging Leader Award is granted annually to a CCOM alumnus who has had a demonstrated impact on individuals and organizations in the osteopathic community. The recipient is one who inspires young leaders to make a difference and shows evidence of commitment to future contributions as a leader in the osteopathic profession.

The CCOM Alumni Association (CCOMAA) stays busy all year teaching and upholding the long-standing traditions of the College. Your annual membership dues to the CCOMAA are devoted to scholarships and enrichment programs that support CCOM students and honor outstanding alumni.

The mission of this Council is to encourage alumni to participate actively in the College of Dental Medicine Arizona (CDMA) community by fostering fellowship amongst peers and faculty, enriching the lives and learning experiences of the newest classes of CDMA student dentists, embracing the ideals of life-long learning and service and contributing to the culture of our esteemed college and University as a whole.

Our vision is to engage the alumni of CDMA on a quarterly basis by creating a range of appealing programs and activities that alumni will seek out to remain involved with each other, current and future dental interns, and our college.

Midwestern University Regional Receptions

Consistent with our mission to enhance relationships with alumni and inspire affinity and philanthropic support, the Office of Development & Alumni Relations has made it a priority to work with interested alumni to co-host Regional Alumni Receptions. The benefits of holding Regional Alumni Receptions include providing alumni with updates about academic programs, sharing facility improvements on campus and providing opportunities for alumni to mix and mingle. Remarks by the co-host, key faculty, and representatives of the Office of Development & Alumni Relations are part of the evening.
